Presentations were conveyed by several judo researchers from all across Europe.

  • Prof.Dr.Sc. Hrvoje Sertic - Chairman of Organizing Committee “It was around 1991 when I stared my scientific career. My passions are judo and research so I put this together and three years ago we decided to make a judo research conference. First it was in Zagreb and last year the EJU asked me to join in to the symposium here in Porec, so we started it last year and it has been very successful and we are certainly looking forward to continue the great work for the upcoming years.”Фотограф: Sören Starke

  • Ms. Sanda Corak - President of the Croatian Judo Federation - Conceptual framework on women participation in judo “Women are underrepresented in judo and the national federations have very important role in attracting and retaining women.”Фотограф: Sören Starke
  • Mr. Mike Callan - President of International Association of Judo Research (IJRA) “This is an amazing event it is so important that judoka share their experiences and understanding. Even if we look back to Prof. Kano, he explained that lectures and discussion are one of the most important ways to learn judo alongside of course kata and randori. It is really great that the European Judo Union supports judo research and I am so privileged to be part of this. Congratulations to the Croatian Judo Federation and the University of Zagreb for this amazing initiative.”Фотограф: Sören Starke
  • Emanuela Pierantozzi – Double Olympic Medallist – Presentation on Method of Attacks in Judo, Transitions “I think it is important to increase the number and variety of training situation in transition phase to improve judo athlete behaviour and physical preparation; to train exceptionally the control of the transition situation; to train starting with Tori from standing up position or laying with locked leg; and to train to be effective during transition and ne-waza in short time.”Фотограф: Sören Starke
  • Mr. Ezio Gamba - General Secretary of EJU - Presentation on Russian Men Team 2009-2016 “To me, the better option is to have more athletes in condition to be close to the medal. It is not necessary to always have champions only, but to have a team who are capable of fighting for medal; and after that sure you can be lucky whoever makes it to the top. I prefer eight 5th place for example over one single gold medal, because than you see the potential of the athletes.”Фотограф: Sören Starke
