CALL FOR ALL INVOLVED IN SCIENCE OF JUDO

On behalf of the Vice President of the Italian Judo Federation and the European Judo Union, Mr. Franco Capelletti, alongside the EJU Scientific Commission are delighted to announce that the 3RD EUROPEAN SCIENCE OF JUDO RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM & 2nd SCIENTIFIC AND PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE ON JUDO: “APPLICABLE RESEARCH IN JUDO“ as well as the 7TH EXHIBITION OF JUDO RESEARCH will take place, as stated in the outlines, before and during the 2016 Judo Festival in Porec (Croatia). In additon to that, after the agreement with the organizers during the IX Internatiomnal Congress of Sport Sciences, the exhibition will also be on during the 2016 European Championships in Kazan (Russia). It might sound like a dose of information at once but here are the following contents individuals should be aware of.

3RD EUROPEAN SCIENCE OF JUDO RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM & 2nd SCIENTIFIC AND PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE ON JUDO: “APPLICABLE RESEARCH IN JUDO”

This conference will be led by several experts within several faculties which are all related in order to achieve goals which are set to be accomplished throughout the conference. Such as to connect the science and research in Judo with Judo practice or to encourage collaboration and connection of all those who deal with and wish to engage in research in Judo and/or use the research results will all be set to achieve over the period of time of the conference.

Furthermore, it is within the interest to establish a permanent network of researchers in Judo as well as those who use these results, to educate coaches, competitors and other sport officials in Judo and to highlight multidisciplinary aspects of Judo that can be studied not only from the standpoint of physical education and kinesiology, but also from the standpoint of anthropology, psychology, sociology, economics, management, history, education and other scientific disciplines. All in all, the key point is to continuously improve the quality and value of our sport.

7TH EXHIBITION OF JUDO RESEARCH

Whilst the conference is taking place, The European Judo Union pleased to invite European researchers to participate in exhibiting their research on the sport of Judo during the European Championships and the Judo Festival for the past six years. The objective of this event is to promote Judo research across Europe and to engage European researchers on specific Judo topics. This event endeavors to make information more accessible for Judokas, teachers, coaches and all Judo enthusiasts.
